EMBnet: European Molecular Biology Network

The European Molecular Biology Network

EMBnet

EMBnet was established in 1988. The history of EMBnet is quite colorful and is characterized by a variety of remarkable achievements . Currently, EMBnet operates 22 nodes with full connectivity in most of the European countries, including EC, EFTA and EMBO member states. The project depends on the infrastructure and enthusiasm contributed by the national nodes. Current projects are supported by funding of the BRIDGE programme of the EC and include the development of new techniques in biological database access and utilization. Specific information is available on the following topics:

  1. History of EMBnet
  2. Introduction to and Implementation of EMBnet
  3. EMBnet Services
  4. EMBnet Projects
  5. EMBnet Team, October, 1993
