Sleep Vision(c) is a software product that currently runs on the
Iris Indigo with Starter Video, exclusively. Eight hours of video
and audio is captured from videotape whenever a movement or
sound is detected. The software is used to evaluate sleep and
breathing disorders in children. The videotape image shows a patient
being studied in her own home a big advantage. Below the child's
picture are displays for audio (breathing sounds are shown) and
movement, each rectangle is one second. Two movements are shown in
yellow and yellow/red. Non-movement periods are in dark green.
Video and audio control panels allow replay of eight hours of
video at real time or in fast forward. Usually it takes about 5
minutes to watch all of a night's movements. The system has proven
extremely helpful in understanding and diagnosing sleep disordered
breathing
