COMPUTATIONAL FLUID DYNAMICS
Strong winds around a highrise building are very harmful for human
or commercial activity nearby the building. Before contruction
of a new building in an urban area contractors predict the flowfield
around the new building and determine the suitable countermeasures
which decrease wind speed around the building. The shot is a scene
of a moving picture used in this analyzing stage. The flowfield
such as the velocity vectors and contour of absolute values of
velocity around the centered highrise building were calculated by
means of CFD based on k-e two equation turbulence model and visualized
by using postprocessing program Floweyes.
