UltraCapacity(tm) is CD-ROM storage and recording for UNIX TCP/IP networks. The UltraCapacity family of mass storage products provides transparent access across TCP/IP network to large CD-ROM databases for both local and network users. UltraCapacity is extremely flexible and can be configured to satisfy a broad range system requirements. The system utilizes a client/server architecture. There are two distinct modules: UltraCapacity server software and UltraCapacity storage peripherals. The software is portable; it runs on most UNIX platforms and on Windows NT and supports each of the UltraCapacity peripherals. The storage peripherals include a broad range of CD-ROM jukeboxes, disc changes, and disc arrays to meet specific storage requirements.
