The Cricket is a comfortable, ergonomically designed tool for interaction in 3D graphics environment and virtual worlds. It has two pressure sensing buttons for selection and grabbing actions, and a thumb-actuated joystick that is useful for navigation. It can measure position and orientation in six degrees of freedom. An adjustable tactile feedback mechanism is available as an upgrade. The Cricket is used in entertainment, virtual reality research, financial and scientific visualization.
Prerequisite hardware: Any Silicon Graphics computer with one unused serial port; Ascension Bird, Logitech, or Polhemus FASTRAK position/orientation sensing system
Prerequisite software: None; includes sample driver source code for integration into your application
