Through file migration, AMASS-DataMgr automatically makes space available when a magnetic disk's file system begins to fill or when user-defined migration criteria are met. Selected files are transparently moved to less costly secondary storage and still appear as if they are residing on local magnetic disk, thus providing a transparent, unattended, client/server "disk space management" function.
AMASS-DataMgr runs as a layered product on AMASS and can be configured for heterogeneous networks.
