I am using MultiStore on a Econet Network. I can open a file on one ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ machine, but when I try to open the same file on another, the error message: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 'File already open' occurs. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ You should open the file using 'Read Only' mode. Drag the datafile onto the MultiStore icon and select 'Read Only'. 2. My pictures are not appearing on the cards. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ You have probably not set the picture path (by dragging the relevant directory onto the card). 3. I have set the picture path, but still the pictures are not appearing! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The sprites are probably larger than that specified in the 'Params' file. Increase the Picture parameter to a few K larger than the largest sprite. Eg if the largest sprite is 17k, increase the picture parameter to 19 or 20k. If the pictures appear in odd colours, you have probably not got a palette 4. How can I sort on date fields? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ You should have constructed your dates fields as THREE separate fields. They may be called: @DAY, @MON & @YR. If you want to sort, you should enter in the sort box: @YR+@MON+@DAY. Alternatively you may have only one date field. If it is called @date, you may sort by the expression FNreaddate(@date). 5.When exporting paged reports to disc, or Edit, control codes appear. How ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ can I get rid of these? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ You should select 'Printer' form the main MultiStore menu and then deselect the 'Enable driver' option. This will then ignore any printer codes when exporting a report.
