What is HotMOO?

HotMOO is a text-based fantasy world. You can play in HotWired's HotMOO, or you can enter one of the specially created rooms in two larger MOOs: LambdaMOO and BayMOO. Both MOOs have Cafe Wired rooms. While in the Cafe Wired room on LambdaMOO or BayMOO, you can interact with any of the LambdaMOO or BayMOO characters who have entered the Cafe Wired room from within these other MOOs.

MOOs run over telnet windows (like Club Wired), however the commands are different in each MOO. For a complete list of commands, type 'Help' in the MOO you are entering. You can type 'Help' at any time during your session to get more information and a list of commands.

What do I do if I can't get into HotMOO?

When trying to launch HotMOO, you may get one of the following messages:

'Your account has not been verified.' To correct this, go to the HotWired main page and click 'verify your account.')

'Unable to launch Telnet session.'

'Connection refused by host.' Network traffic may be high. Try going to the other MOO. If that doesn't work, try visiting HotMOO later, when fewer people are on the network. Nighttime and weekends are generally good times to try.
