HotWired: Bio - Susan Farrell

Susan Farrell

Art Crimes is a gallery of graffiti art featuring street paintings from various cities. The project's goals are to assemble a large collection of graffiti art from all over the world and to provide insight into this fascinating subculture. Anyone with photographs of similar work is encouraged to contribute. The piece we have in Retina this week was painted by Abu of C9 Kings in Fresno, on a wall near the train tracks in the G Street yard.

Susan Farrell (sf15@prism.gatech.edu) is doing time at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta as a faculty member and grad student. She has a close personal relationship with her computer, writes all kinds of things, and when she isn't taking pictures of art, she's making her own with whatever materials are handy. She never paints on anything that doesn't belong to her. When she grows up, she plans to be a content provider on the bridges of the information superhighway.

Brett Webb (b.webb@sassy.usc.edu) is currently a staff member and student at the University of Southern California. He is an ex-graffiti writer, who spends most of his free time either thinking about, discussing, or photographing graffiti. He and his girlfriend plan to move to New York City, where Brett can be a busboy.
