New York State Media Festival

The Upstate Media Posse will host the 2nd New York State Media Festival to be held in the Shaffer Art Building at Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY. You are invited to participate! There are a number of ways you can be involved.

The festival will provide an opportunity for a public screening of your work on a first come, first served basis. Panels, presentations, and workshops will be organized based on interest and involvement.

Who will attend the New York State Media Festival:

independent producers media educators filmmakers
media activists videographers multimedia artists
students media producers animators
digital artists computer animators and many others

We need your help!

If you are interested in co-facilitating or participating in a discussion, organizing a panel or workshop, helping to organize the festival or volunteering during the festival PLEASE contact us!

If you have an idea concerning a more structured event you are welcome to submit a proposal or additional information.

Open Screening of Work

Actual sign-up for screening is on a first come first served basis at the festival.

We have small and large screening rooms with seating capacity of 15 - 350 people. You must be present at the festival to have your work screened.
