Exploring the Internet

The Internet is a vast network of computer networks stretching right round the world. Because the University of York is part of the Internet, anyone with access to a computer attached to the Campus Network is able to explore the resources available on the Internet.

Whether you are interested in art, cookery, ancient manuscripts or dinosaurs, accessing library catalogues, weather forecasts, software archives or phone books you will be able to find something for you on the Internet.

This section has been set up to give you a starting point for exploration but once you set off you will be able to follow any paths which interest you. If you do come across something which you want to return to, don't forget to add it to your bookmark list so that you can find it again easily!

Please note that the links in this section are not maintained by the University of York, so we may not be able to help if something fails.
