About this Version (1.1)

Version 1.1 has seven main enhancements

It has a complete text index system based on the Glimpse routine
A comments facility is accessible from each page
The graphic headers and footers have been stripped away to improve speed of access
The graphic Home Page is no longer an 'imagemap' allowing 'text-based' readers (such as lynx) entry into the full system
The Go PC and Stop PC icons were removed. They were commonly confused with the actual hyperlink address for which they were intending to provide a warning
Provision is made for adding latenews
Access statistics are now available

We decided with some regret to remove the graphic Home Page and graphic headers and footers. Even though they were not particularily large data files we are very sensitive to users who either disliked waiting for the extra overhead (Home Page 30k in total, headers/footers 4k) or found the icons confusing.

Without a comments facility in version 1.0 we were not able to receive much feedback on this issue. However, we would value your comments in the future. To assist us you may address comments to the following personnel:
