Oracle Product Management Career Opportunities

Product Managers at Oracle:

Work with our developers, salespeople, and customers to design, develop and position our products in the marketplace, from development through trial and release.
Are the creative force behind our products, possessing superb technical skills and foresight. They define product attributes and determine product requirements and plans for market leadership.
Properly communicate the product to the marketplace by writing all collateral product pieces, including strategic product positioning and competitive analysis reports, product data sheets, and marketing kits.
Create and present sales and marketing packages for Oracle's sales force and business alliance partners.
Are responsible for managing the life cycle of a specific Oracle product. Since Oracle continues to develop a wide spectrum of products including the Oracle RDBMS and media server, networking, development tools, and applications, there are a variety of Product Manager opportunities.

Oracle currently has positions available in Product Management. These positions are located in Redwood Shores and are in the following groups:

New Media - media server, document automation
Server Technologies - database, networking, programming languages, system management
Tools - graphics, reporting tools, CASE, application development tools
Applications - manufacturing, financial, human resources
Product Line Groups - UNIX, massively parallel, desktop, Sun, HP, IBM, DEC, Compaq

Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications:

A minimum of five years relevant work experience in software product marketing and management;
A strong technical background and knowledge of distributed technologies and Oracle products;
Ability to deal with people on a technical and non-technical basis;
Strong verbal and written communication skills;
B.S. degree in Computer Science and a M.B.A.
