Net Access Staff
Avi's interests are in bringing Internet
to the businesses and individuals of the Philadelphia area affordably and
reliably. His research interests lie in Computer Science: Parallel and
Distributed Processing, Network Programming, and a smattering of almost all
other areas of CS. Avi's responsibilities are to plan for Net Access's growth
and manage its present.
Mark Thomas, Sys Admin & Hardware
<mark@misty.com>
Mark's in charge of Mail and News administration for Net Access, as well as
new software installation and general ship-shape monitoring of the network.
He's also the wire-tie and planning guy for hardware installation and
layout, and is a full-time Unix Sysadmin who has a little time for consulting
left on the side :) He also administers his own domain,
misty.com.
Noam is with us during the Summers. In 1994, he manned the
phones and monitored the systems. This Summer, he'll be setting up new POPs,
expanding our existing ones, and getting involved with the evolving network
architecture.
John Kirk, Generalist (johnkirk@netaxs.com)
John occasionally answers the phones at the office, but his main
responsibilities include software architecture issues and Special
Projects. His outside interests are too numerous to mention, but he's
intrigued by the same communication-to-the-
masses as the owner and many of the staff.
Rich K., Customer Support (rak@netaxs.com)
Rich is our late-night support person. He monitors the
systems and responds to support e-mail.
Chris Fearnley,
Customer Support (cjf@netaxs.com)
Chris is around almost all day. His chief job is Customer
Support.
Hillary Gorman,
Public Relations Supervisor (hillary@netaxs.com)
Hillary is currently doing background research for the upcoming Freenet
walk-up sites throughout the Greater Philadelphia Region. Hillary is also
providing internal editorial support, additional office communications
services and assisting with phone traffic. When not providing vital
administerings to ailing animals as a veterinary nurse, or browsing the
NetVet or
The Electronic Zoo
web pages, Hillary will tend to subscribers
and others seeking Internet access through Net Access.
Michael is the local branch manager for Bastard Operator From Hell (BOFH),
Inc. In his spare time, he works as a strange amalgam of technical
support person and administrator for Net Access. Michael's interests
include getting more sleep, getting paid more, Pop-Tarts, cellos, bass
guitars, DNS administration, and the works of Pat Califia. WARNING:
Dangerous if provoked. Please do not feed the sysadmin. Best if utilized by
date on bottom. CAUTION: Electrocution hazard. Not suitable for children under
age fourteen. No consumer-serviceable parts inside. DO NOT TAUNT SYSADMIN!
REBOOT! REBOOT! OK!
You can mail him at the above link, if you dare. Clickety-clickety.
Peter Yu
(peter@netaxs.com)
Peter is going to be semi-around this Summer.
His specialty is Macs and
the Internet, and he is co-creator of the Net Access MacPPPDisk
Macintosh Software Installer.
