Friday January 5, 1996: Bell Atlantic has successfully fixed Bryn Mawr and Levittown!!! Thank you all for your patience during the downtime.

Friday December 29, 1995: All Net Access users MUST read the local newsgroup netaxs.announce in order to ensure they are fully informed of the latest system updates - eg, scheduled outages, planned upgrades, etc.

Friday November 10, 1995: Warrington, Chester Heights, Valley Forge, Swarthmore are fixed.
Today, Bell fixed Warrington, Chester Heights, Valley Forge, and Swarthmore. It now looks like they might actually know what to do, so we're optimistic that they'll get Levittown and Bryn Mawr back on Monday or Tuesday.

Friday November 10, 1995: Status of Call-Forward Numbers
Over the last month, Bell has broken our: Bryn Mawr, Swarthmore, Chester Heights, Levittown, Warrington, Valley Forge dialup locations. These locations forward to our Wyndmoor bank of modems. We finally believe that Bell understands what they need to do to repair these virtual modem banks and repoint them to Wyndmoor. We expect that Bell will have most or all of these locations back online by this Friday (by the end of the week).

Friday November 10, 1995: News is being worked on

  • A few months ago, we:
  • --- Upgraded the news server to a 110mhz Sparcstation
  • --- Added two more disks (3gb worth)
  • This weekend we added two more newsfeeds.
  • We're adding more newsfeeds this week until our newsfeed returns to currency & completeness.

    Friday November 10, 1995: Net Access is T3-Connected!
    Our new T3 to Washington, DC is up and installed (actually, it's been up for a little while). This makes Net Access the best- connected ISP in the region. This is not the end of our connectivity expansion - there's a high-speed connection to the Pennsauken Network Access Point currently being installed in our downtown Philadelphia space. We'll shortly have a Connectivity Map that details Net Access's Internet connectivity. We're going to be moving most of our Unix servers downtown to take advantage of the additional bandwidth at some point before the end of the year.

    T1-Speed Machine Hosting For web servers or other of your bandwidth-intensive machines.
    Ethernet-Speed Private Machine Hosting For web or other of your bandwidth-intensive machines.
    Dedicated 10 Mbit Leased-Line Account For connecting a LAN or ISP to the Internet.

    Friday November 3, 1995: Additions to the Net Access User's Guide
    We've added a number of new links to the Net Access User's Guide on our web page.
    New links include a pointer to Unix help and help setting up PPP with OS/2.
