Graduate Studies at the McConnell Brain Imaging Centre

The multi-disciplinary nature of research conducted at BIC provides a variety of options for students considering graduate studies in this field. To date, the majority of graduate students have been registered in these departments:

Neurology and Neurosurgery (M.Sc. and Ph.D.)
Medical Physics (M.Sc. and Ph.D.)
Biomedical Engineering (M.Eng. and Ph.D.)
Medicine (M.D./Ph.D. program)
Computer Science (M.Sc. and Ph.D.)
Psychology (Ph.D.)
Mathematics and Statistics (M.A., M.Sc. and Ph.D.)
Electrical Engineering (M.Eng. and Ph.D.)

If you are interested in pursuing graduate studies at the BIC there are two things you should do:

Contact the professor whose work is of interest to you and discuss the possibilities for a research project and the most appropriate department in which to enrol.
Contact the appropriate department (see list, above) and make an application indicating that you are interested in studying with Professor X at the McConnell Brain Imaging Centre.

Note: It really helps to apply to a department in which Professor X holds an academic appointment. Check with your intended supervisor to confirm where she or he is appointed.
