Developed by Microsoft Product Service and Support (PSS) and User Education, this Help file runs on Microsoft® Windows® 3.1,
Windows for Workgroups, and Windows 95. This tool was beta tested
under the name the Windows 95 Care Package. Beta testers benefited from the extensive testing conducted
on Windows 95 and commented that this Help file was indispensable
in assisting with their migration to Windows 95. Whether you are a beta tester
or a new user, now you can benefit from this updated version.
The Windows 95 Support Assistant contains the following information:

the Windows 95 beta.

important in this fee-based support environment).
- Over one hundred Knowledge Base (KB) articles written by PSS
engineers covering procedures, productivity tips and tricks, and
specific product issues associated with setup and networking with
Windows 95.
- Walk-through troubleshooters dealing with setup, networking,
and hardware issues.
- A glossary of Windows 95 commonly used terms.
- A reference guide to products and services available to customers
to help them understand and take advantage of the Windows 95 special features.
This Help file uses the Windows 95 Help file search engine for
easy navigation to assist computing professionals with their move
to Windows 95. To make your migration smooth and easy, take a look at the setup and networking issues today before you install Windows 95. You can download The Windows 95 Support Assistant (Assist.exe) at no cost.

- Create a temporary folder on your hard disk.
- Click the link "Windows 95 Support Assistant."
- Save the file in the new folder.
- In that folder, double-click Support Assistant to extract the program files.
- Run Setup.
Note- This file will take approximately five minutes to download with a
14.4 KBPS modem.
