What Do I Need to Use ISDN?

The software you need to work with ISDN varies by operating system.

Windows 95 Users

You need to get the ISDN Accelerator Pack for Windows 95. This add-on software integrates ISDN with Windows 95.

You must be using Windows 95 to run the ISDN Accelerator Pack.

Windows NT Users

ISDN support is a standard feature in Windows NT versions 3.5 and later. You do not need any additional software to use ISDN.

Windows 3.0, Windows 3.1 and Windows for Workgroups Users

Earlier versions of Windows do not have native support for ISDN. Some third party hardware and software vendors provide ISDN support for these earlier versions of Windows. Microsoft only supports ISDN on Windows 95 and Windows NT. You can still use this site to request an ISDN line for earlier versions of Windows.

Other

For other operating systems, consult your software vendor. You can still use the Get ISDN site to generate an ISDN request for non-Windows systems.
