PDA COIL REGISTRY
The PDA Coil Registry was formed in June, 1994 to establish a data base on PDA coil occlusion. Because the Gianturco Coil (Cook, Inc.) is commercially available and familiar to most pediatric cardiac interventionalists, we anticipate that this transcatheter occlusion technique will gain widespread application. We therefore believe that information regarding success rates, common and unusual complications, and patient-or procedure-related factors which may influence outcome should be made available to the pediatric cardiology community as soon as possible. We hope you will agree that a multi-institutional Registry is the most effective way to quickly compile a statistically adequate experience with the procedure. The PDA Coil Registry via the World Wide Web will provide up to date information on participating centers, data summary and statistical information, and provide an electronic format for submitting patients into the data base. Additionally, you will be able to ask questions and/or comment to us through this WWW site. Thank you for participating in this multi-institutional, cooperative endeavor. We look forward to hearing from you. Please note: to optimally view this web site, a form-supporting browser is required. (eg: Netscape v1.1)
