We simplified the following search forms to make it easier for first-time users. For the full version of each, click the site name. Altavista, Inktomi, Infoseek, WebCrawler, Lycos, Magellan, Excite, Galaxy, Yahoo.
Altavista - Enter several words. You may group "words together with quotes".
Web: News Groups:

Inktomi - enter several words seperated by spaces.

WebCrawler - enter several words separated by spaces.

Magellan - enter several words seperated by spaces. Results include ratings and summaries.

Excite - search for keywords, or better yet, for concepts.
