Taiwan has one of the fastest growing economies in the Pacific Rim. Since the 1970's, trade and commerce between Canada and Taiwan has flourished. Increasing numbers of Taiwanese are immigrating to Canada and investing in real estate and commercial ventures. There is a need for closer ties between the business and ethnic communities of the two nations.
The Canada Taiwan Trade Association was established in the summer of 1988.
The goals of the Association are:

To promote mutual understanding and exchange information between the various trades of Canada and Taiwan;
To establish, maintain and promote an interest in trade and commerce between Canada and Taiwan;
To render professional and administrative services for business people from Canada and Taiwan;
To provide a forum to relate the different experiences of business people from Canada and Taiwan.
The members of the Canada Taiwan Trade Association come from varied backgrounds.
Included are successful investors, entrepreneurs, professionals and academics from all parts of the Pacific Rim.
Membership in the Canada Taiwan Trade Association will provide the opportunity to meet Canadian and Taiwanese business people interested in reciprocal promotion of business, trade, immigration and investment and to develop experiences.
