How to Search a Company in Japan

[CAUTION!!]Don't send e-mail to me for searching a company in Japan.
[CAUTION!!]Because I don't have more information than following.
If you didn't find a company page in this site, I recommend that you try to access the following sites.
Probably, you think the site is few. However, the company-information site by english-documents is rear in Japan.

  1. TITAN by NTT
    It's one of strong search-engines & robots for the japanese information. You can search by the keyword in the site.

  2. Business Browser by Nikkei Newspaper
    It's a directory service for the japanese company that are provided by the economic newspaper.

  3. Nihongo Yellow Pages
    It's a directory service for the japanese information. This include many business infomation.

  4. Domain name full-list in Japan by JPNIC
    This file exist in the anonimous ftp server (ftp.nic.ad.jp), and the directory is /pub/jpnic/domain-list-e.txt.
    It's a full-list for the domain names & organization(including company: ex. hogehoge.co.jp) names in Japan. You down-loaded the list,and you can search by FIND-function of your browser or text-editor. If you find the domain name, you try to send e-mail by the following address.
    Example of company(co.jp) --- postmaster@obtained domain-name.co.jp

  5. whois by JPNIC
    Example of use the whois-comand of UNIX system as following.
    % whois -h whois.nic.ad.jp domain-name/e
    If you get IP-address, you re-try whois by IP-address.
    % whois -h whois.nic.ad.jp IP-address/e
