The Java Language Environment: A White Paper

An eighty-six page technical discussion about the Java programming language and its environment. This document also includes a chapter on the HotJava(tm) browser.
Note: This is a different paper than The Java Language: A White Paper included with 1.0Alpha3.

UNIX users can download compressed tar files containing the white paper in the following formats:

• HTML (~ 120K, ~ 462K expanded)
• PostScript, letter (8.5" X 11") size (~ 300K, ~ 850K expanded)
• PostScript, A4 size (~ 300K, ~ 860K expanded)

DOS/Windows users can download zip files containing the white paper in the following formats:
