Red Tape Review

Islanders and Island business owners have an opportunity to tell government about the obstacles and expenses they have encountered in the government regulatory process. The provincial government plans to examine "red tape" in all areas of government.

"The committee is seeking input from the public on how the government can better serve the needs of Islanders," said Minister Jeannie Lea, Chairperson of the Community Consultative Committee conducting the Red Tape Review. "We are holding several meetings across the province from February 12 to February 20 and we want to hear what Islanders have to say."

"We want to ensure that both Island businesses and the province have every possible competitive advantage," said Minister Lea.
