The deal covers EUnet's entire operation of 28 operating companies spanning 41 countries in Europe and beyond. "Our agreement with EUnet will help us gain access to the rapidly growing pan-European Internet market," said Didier Benchimol, vice president of European sales for Netscape. "We have recently expanded our international presence with offices in Paris, London and Munich, and our licensing agreement with EUnet is a further example of our dedication to the European market. Netscape Navigator, currently shipping in English, French, and German, will now be directly available to customers of Europe's leading Internet service providers." Wim Vink, EUnet's managing director said, "This partnership brings to the user community another important piece in providing a simplified approach to Internet access. With the signing of this contract, users will be able to receive a 'ready to go' Internet solution of connectivity, the latest client technology for the World Wide Web and the Eudora electronic mail software - all in one box and at a highly competitive price."
