The research report is online and the structure of research organisation is glibly captures in a Venn Diagram - this is not strictly correct at all and is only provided to give a very rough characterisation of the areas we work in.

Artificial Intelligence

Planning, Agent Modelling, and Robotics
The agents research group represents a broad range of AI research in reasoning and autonomous systems. The research includes the development of formal bases for reasoning and planning, aquisition of symbolic representations, goal generation and management, autonomous communication, adaptive control, robotics and vision.
Intelligent Systems Group
The Intelligent Systems Group at UCL specialises in applied research in neural networks, evolutionary techniques, fuzzy logic and hybrid systems with `traditional' symbolic AI. The emphasis is on research in collaboration with business and industry, through real-world problem solving.
