Adobe SiteMill for Macintosh(R) and Power Macintosh(R) includes all the Web page authoring and editing functionaltity of Adobe PageMill software, SiteMill gives you what-you-see-is-what-you-get (WYSIWYG) Web page editing, integrated image manipulation and format conversion, and additional capabilities for easily managing your Web site.

Web Site Management

• Renaming a page or image file breaks links. All other pages referring to that page or image refer to the original rather than the modified filename.
• Restructuring a Web site, such as moving files into subfolders, breaks links.
• Deleting files that are still in use breaks links. It's difficult to determine which files are not in use and could therefore safely be discarded.
• Links to external Web sites can break easily when somebody moves a server to a new location or renames a page.

Keeping your links intact
Adobe SiteMill includes all the page editing functionality of Adobe PageMill - and it also lets you maintain correct links for your entire Web site, including links to external sites. That's because SiteMill automatically repairs links that break when pages or files are renamed. Or when files are moved into subfolders. All of which means that you can manage your Web site much more quickly and easily than ever before.

Easy does it
SiteMill lets you use familiar, screen-based icons to manage your entire Web site, no matter how large or complex it may be. The program displays a view of your Web site that shows your page structure with pop-up menus of the links to and from each file.

One-step error correction
SiteMill finds and summarizes any errors present in your Web site. You can then correct them with a simple, one-step drag-and-drop procedure. From then on, your site remains error-free. And, Adobe SiteMill reads existing Web sites and automatically finds and summarizes the errors present in them too.

Creating new links
Adobe SiteMill software integrates the Site view and the Page Editing view, enabling you to create new links by simply dragging a file or an image icon from the Site view into the Page view. You don't have to know about the uniform resource locator (URL) link addressing scheme or the page pathname syntax, and you don't have to type any filenames. SiteMill automatically creates the correct links.

Site View

Site view displays all site resources at a glance: pages, images, directories, scripts, and other files, including PDF files created with Adobe Acrobat(R). Double-click icons to open pages and images to edit them. Name, delete, and move resources between folders - links are automatically updated. Create links by dragging a page icon from the Site view into a Page view. Each resource has pop-up menus for inbound and outbound links for easy site navigation. The Site view warns you of unreachable or unused resources.

External References View

With the External References view, you can see and change all links to pages outside your Web site. The External References view makes updating external references all across your site very easy. Want to create a link? Just drag a reference from the External References View window to any page.

Error View

The Error view shows all dangling links and lets you perform a one-step correction - just drag the correct file over the error and all incorrect references are fixed!
