Tim Roth as "Archibald Cunningham"
in ROB ROY
(MGM/UA)

Tim Roth, who hails from England, and has earned international recognition as one of today's most talented and versatile actors, portrays "Cunningham" in ROB ROY. Roth has also won the attention of critics and audiences for his indelible work in several distinguished film projects which include Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead directed by playwright Tom Stoppard and co-starring Gary Oldman as well as the film Vincent and Theo in which Roth portrays the title role of Vincent Van Gogh.

Last year, Roth was seen as the small-time crook who picks the wrong place to hold up in Quentin Tarantino's award-winning hit Pulp Fiction. Tarantino had previously cast him as a cop caught in the line of fire in Reservoir Dogs, in which Roth offered a disturbing glimpse at the agony of dying. He again collaborated with Tarantino, as well as directors Allison Anders, Robert Rodriguez and Alexandre Rockwell, playing the bellhop in Four Rooms.

Roth made his television debut in England, starring in the controversial British Prix Italia Award-winning telefilm "Made in Britain". More recently, he starred as a Russian hit man in Little Odessa, and just completed starring roles in Gasoline Alley, as well as Woody Allen's latest as-yet-untitled feature.
