12 Step program
Step 1 of the 12 step program
The 12-step program was formulated by Bill W.,
a cofounder of Alcoholics Anonymous, who adopted the program
developed by an evangelical organization called Oxford group, in 1938.
This program has provided a comprehensive and thorough approach to
the problem of dealing with addictions.
Many are recovered from their complusive behaviors by
the help of practicing these steps and participating
the fellowship of this program.
This is not the only way to solve the problems as people might claim.
But it is proven to be a working program and
has many wonderful testimonies of solid recovery and
spiritual awakening.
We admitted we were powerless
over (our addictive behavior(s)) -- that our lives had
become unmanageable.
