This website is a memorial to the men and women who served in World War II, the Korean War, and the Gulf War--all served by the USS Missouri. The historic battleship--moored in Bremerton, Kitsap County, Washington (just across Puget Sound from Seattle)--is the site of the end of World War II on September 2, 1945, the day the Japanese surrendered at Tokyo Bay. The USS Missouri will soon become an historic maritime museum, moored on Bremerton's '40's-style waterfront, where the history-making ventures of the 887-foot battleship will keep alive the memories, stories, battles (both lost and won), to remind us forever of a fierce war that should never be fought again!!!!!
