On October 1, 1994, Sirius Connections began to offer Internet access
to the Bay Area. Since then we have grown considerably, widened our
services, and established our community attitude about Internet access.
Our philosophy comes from the belief that Internet service should be
like a combination of your telephone, cable TV, and postal services. We
want to get people connected to the Internet and then let them take
control, not confine them to a shell account or a proprietary graphical
interface. The idea is to do this as economically as possible and allow
users to choose their own software, which is based on the operating
system that they already use.
We are firmly planted in the South of Market area of San Francisco,
across from the CalTrain Station at 4th and Townsend Streets. Our staff
is built from people who have had long technical backgrounds in both
computers and networking. Most of us have had between two and seven years
of Internet experience, and have watched it grow into its base of 30
million users.
We offer direct Internet access in the San Francisco (415-284 prefix),
San Mateo (415-577 prefix), and San Jose (408-567 prefix) dialing areas.
