IT Consultancy

Compita is perhaps best known for its delivery of consultancy services to specialist IT organisations and in-house IT departments, and in particular helping implement standards for those seeking accreditation to TickIT or support for Process Management, Process Assessment and Process Improvement.

Perhaps less well known is the company's involvement in the definition of emerging International standards work which gives Compita consultants a unique insight with which to assist their clients. One such standard is SPICE (Software Process Improvement and Capability dEtermination) which is to provide a major influence in software development and acquisition. The company's long standing reputation in this field, and in particular its development of the internationally recognised Software Technology Diagnostic, has made Compita the natural choice as principal UK experts in defining and piloting this standard.

IT Training

Compita provides an extensive portfolio of training materials coupled with an impressive and effective delivery capability and methodology. Training programmes are highly tailorable for bespoke delivery, and a selected range are also provided on a quarterly "public" basis around the UK.

Software Technology Diagnostic (STD)

The STD provides a comprehensive and proven assessment of IT capability of the management, development and service processes in an IT environment. Following assessment the Compita Improvement Program enables quantitive monitoring of progress towards improved capability. Once trained in the use of STD, real productivity and quality benefits are gained through the deeper understanding of those processes that add value to the business and knowledge of those that don't. The STD conforms and surpasses the current and known future requirements of the SPICE standard.

Training Programmes

Working on a "train the trainer" principle, Compita licenses the training course material detailed earlier for provision by third parties. Where required, this includes foreign language translations.

ISOplus

ISOplus is designed for the IT organisation or department that either is unsure where to start or more usually, has limited resource available to devote to the implementation of a Quality System.

Generated from over ten man years of experience in implementing Quality Systems, the model comprises more than 80 templates from which to extract and modify to suit local requirements. Each template is designed to be conformant to TickIT and ISO9000 standards and to lead easily to wider process management activities. In addition, an easy to follow User Guide walks the user through the entire process of implementing a Quality System.
