Product Developers at Oracle:

• Are given the opportunity to design, code, build, and test a wide variety of products, including the Oracle RDBMS and media server, application development tools, and a wide variety of end-user applications.

• Use innovative technology, including object-oriented programming, windows, bit-mapped graphics, expert systems, artificial intelligence, and advanced programming languages to develop new products.

• Gain experience working with a wide range of hardware and operating systems --Macs, workstations, minicomputers, super-minis, mainframes and massively parallel computers.

Available Positions:

Oracle currently has positions available in Product Development. These positions are located in Redwood Shores and are of all levels: Group Manager, Senior Software Engineer, Software Engineer and Entry-level. They are in the following groups:

• New Media - media server, document automation
• Server Technologies - database, networking, programming languages, system management
• Tools - graphics, reporting tools, CASE, application development tools
• Applications - manufacturing, financial, human resources
• Product Line Groups - UNIX, massively parallel, desktop, Sun, HP, IBM, DEC, Compaq

Qualifications:

Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications:

• A minimum of two years relevant development work experience with C, UNIX and database management;
• Additional experience desired with one or more of the following technologies: C++; Macintosh or Windows GUI development; OS/2, DOS, or Windows operating systems; CASE methodology and tools; SQL Forms; and manufacturing, financial, or human resources application software development;
• Strong communications skills and the eagerness to excel and be part of a dynamic team;
• B.S. degree in Computer Science.
