NetSpace Project Info

Information about the NetSpace Project

NetSpace is a Brown University student group interested in recent developments in information technology -- in particular, client-server protocols that use the internet to distribute information in an easy to understand form.

As a group, we have two main goals: maintaining a server which members of the Brown community can use to serve information, and increasing general campus awareness of emerging information technologies and issues.

In order to help achieve the second goal, NetSpace tries to provide a forum for members of the Brown community to discuss all aspects of information technology, from such diverse topics as server setup, web page design, programming questions, systems security, new technologies and new uses of current technology. We hope that this forum will help members of the Brown community answer general and specific questions about these new technologies and that the discussions that take place will encourage new ideas and exploration of the frontiers of this technology.
