Welcome to the 1996 International Digital Media Awards Competition. Now in its third year this Awards Program is dedicated to recognizing and rewarding excellence in interactive digital media. The Competition is coordinated by the International Digital Media Foundation, a not-for-profit organization mandated to assist in the development of the international multimedia industry.
As we approach the 21th century, a revolution is underway in human communications. The elements of communications, sound, text, and graphics have been translated into bits and bytes, giving birth to a new global language -- digital media. As a communications medium, digital media and the electronic vehicles which transport them, are changing the global community in a way unique to human history. Digital media makes possible a much richer range of interaction between consumers and producers of cultural products, and will form much of the basis for human communications in the 21st century.
The goal of the International Digital Media Awards is to showcase the technology behind this new language, and the innovators behind the technolgy. We invite you to contribute to this emerging digital landscape by participating in the 1996 International Digital Media Awards Competition.
Who knows, you may make history!
Special Thanks to Our Sponsors and Supporters
