Developer Tools
Microsoft Visual C++
Microsoft Visual C++ provides new tools to ease the reuse and extension of existing code while allowing developers to take advantage of the features of Windows 95.
Microsoft Visual Basic
Microsoft Visual Basic now has full 32-bit performance, 16/32-bit source compatibility, integrated version control, new Windows 95 controls, and the ability to create and use OLE components.
Microsoft Visual FoxPro
With Microsoft Visual FoxPro, developers can create applications to run on any Windows-based, 16-bit or 32-bit operating system, whether its Windows 3.x , Windows NT, or Windows 95. Visual FoxPro complies with the Windows 95 logo requirements, and gives users direct access to Microsoft BackOffice server components. It supports such features of object-oriented programming as inheritance, subclassing, encapsulation, and polymorphism.
Microsoft Visual Test
Microsoft Visual Test permits rapid, automated testing of applications designed to run on both Windows 95 and Windows NT. It is designed to test applications and components (OLE controls and dynamic-link libraries) created using the Visual Basic or Visual C++ development system.
Microsoft Fortran & Fortran PowerStation
Fortran PowerStation aims to ease the migration and reuse of Fortran code developed on platforms such as IBM® mainframes, DEC(tm) minicomputers, and UNIX® workstations to Intel-based PCs running Windows 95 or Windows NT Workstation 3.51.
Microsoft Visual SourceSafe
New features in Visual SourceSafe include integration with the Visual Basic and Visual C++ development environments, a new Windows 95 Explorer look and feel to the user interface, and updated menus and icons.
