MSF Reference Models
Microsoft Solutions Framework delivers a suite of reference models that can be applied
separately or as a whole. Organizations have improved their decision making process and productivity by adopting the benefits of flexibility. MSF provides a componentized selection of principles and techniques that size to any team or project.
- A scaleable team model which defines a set of six
equal team roles and responsibilities which are required for a
team to be complete and successful.
- A solutions process model that is iterative, delivery-focused,
risk-aware, and identifies four primary milestones for tracking
progress.
- A services-based application model that encourages
developers to view an application as a repository of services
in which features and functionality can be packaged for re-use
across functional boundaries.
- An application design process that spans the application
life-cycle through creating usage-scenarios, defining business
service objects, and building physical components.
