Internet Literacy Consultants (ILC) was founded in Feb 1994 by Matisse Enzer. Our mission is to help people understand and use the Internet (and related technologies) to further their own agendas. "Networked communications" is really the larger realm in which we operate and our work is geared towards designing and building the infrastructure of a connected society. We accomplish our goals through seminars and consulting services.

Our seminars range from basic "Internet 101" presentations to workshops on using the Internet in specific fields ("Internet for Business", "Internet for Journalists", etc). We also create customized presentations for companies and groups.

Our consulting services take the form of support and planning for Internet access and Internet Presence. This includes planning and design of corporate Internet presence, networked communications for internal company needs, and education of staff.

As of early 1996 ILC has 3 employees and a variety of consultants that we work with.

From 1992 to 1994 Matisse was the Customer Support Manager at The WELL (The Whole Earth 'Lectronic Link). He managed a support staff that grew from two to six during that time. The WELL is a widely known Internet site that specializes in providing an environment for discussion and interaction among its ~9,000 users.
