Subject Specialists - Search Service

• At IDC you can order a database search, performed by a subject specialist, within the fields of engineering, natural sciences, business or economics. If you wish you can be present during the database search.

• IDC has access to several thousand international and Swedish databases and databanks which cover the scientific, technical, business and economic fields. From this collection of databases and databanks, we can find bibliographical references as well as factual data. Publications covered by databases are journals, periodicals, conferences, dissertations, technical reports, books, patents, standards, etc. Some publications are available in full-text format. ONLINE searching provides information about published documents, whereas SDI offers a continuous current awareness service. Results from both online and current awarness searches can be delivered on paper, by fax or on a diskette.

• IDC can assist you with planning, building or mounting your own databases.

• IDC also offers information searching by distance. With this alternative, you can participate in the search by using your own PC while being in telephone contact with an IDC specialist. You are thus able to follow and direct the search. Results can be taken out directly on your own equipment.
