The Legal Domain Network WWW Interface
Legal Mailing Lists and Discussion Groups on the Internet
The Legal Domain Network WWW Interface provides read-only access to
law-related USENET discussion groups, as well as a number of
Internet mailing lists on legal topics which are gatewayed into the system.
The LDN is a joint venture between several Law Schools, including the
Center for Information Law and Policy
at Villanova.
Happy Day 2/15/96
The LDN is now bigger and better. By adding new equipment the LDN is now able to give the most reliable service possible. Also notice the improved access time.

Chicago-Kent keeps rolling archives of The Legal
Domain Network. Please read our
retention policy
on these discussion groups as well as an explanation of the
rationale behind
The Legal Domain Network and what it means for law-related
organizations.
The Legal Domain Network carries a substantial number of law-related listserver
discussion lists. Lyonette Louis-Jacques of the University of Chicago
publishes a list of law-related discussion groups called
Law Lists,
that can be used as an entry to The Legal Domain Network. The
Legal Domain Network is accessible in a variety of ways including
Gopher,
direct Wais access, and
NNTP access.
Since The Legal Domain Network uses USENET technology, it is available
as a newsfeed site to your law-related organization or as a server to your
USENET reader. We have prepared some information about
connecting your
domain to The Legal Domain Network or
reading/posting
to The Legal Domain Network from your USENET reader (with
information about USENET readers for various machines).
The software used in the LDN was originally written by
Larry Donahue.
