The focus of this workshop is the Daedalus Integrated Writing Environment. The Daedalus "suite" of applications includes modules for synchronous communication in writing, peer editing, and an invention heuristic which a
ssists students in the production of expository essays.

- StorySpace is a hypertext writing environment -- a tool for creating and reading interlinked electronic documents, or *hypertexts*. StorySpace is the collaborative hypertext authoring environment of choice at numerous Universities across the country.
