The NetBill project is an Internet billing system developed at the Information Networking Institute that supports electronic commerce. NetBill functions as an intermediary between a merchant and consumer who wish to conduct business. It provides the mechanisms for consumer-merchant pairs to securely transfer goods and perform financial transactions. | ||
The Wireless Initiative |

The Wireless Research Initiative, including systems research, innovative computer platforms for mobile use, compression research and human factors of mobile usage. In addition, the Institute was the prime initiator and implementor of Wireless Andrew, a 1.5 Mb per second wireless access network covering most of the campus buildings. The Institute has also been a leader in developing mobile applications for emergency response, health care, and vehicle maintenance systems. | ||
HomeNet |

HomeNet is a joint project of Social and Decision Sciences and the business school begun with the encouragement and funding of the Institute. It consists of an urban laboratory with approximately 100 households connected to Internet and a wide variety of information services. |
