HP And Analytical Controls Introduce Natural Gas Analyzers For The HP 6890 Series GC System

Palo Alto, California. March 1, 1996

Hewlett-Packard Company and AC Analytical Controls today introduced four natural-gas analyzer applications for the HP 6890 series gas chromatograph (GC) system.

The HP/AC natural-gas applications and the HP 6890 series GC system come with electronic pneumatics control (EPC) and are optimized for natural-gas analysis. They provide natural-gas pipeline operators and process-development laboratories and utilities with a complete analytical solution that accurately and routinely measures stream components. This capability helps to ensure product quality, establish market value based on British Thermal Unit (Btu) and calorific value (CV) content, monitor and adjust production processes and calculate mix ratios to optimize furnace performance. Ensured Performance with Industry-standard Compliance

The HP/AC natural-gas analyzers are factory tested to predefined specifications to ensure repeatability. The natural-gas analyzer applications comply fully with applicable standards set by the Gas Processors Association (GPA), American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM) and International Standards Organization (ISO).

The natural-gas analyzer applications are available in the following configurations:

Components of the analyzers include calibration and certification data, software containing the analysis method and gas calculations of physical properties for use with the HP ChemStation, expected performance specifications, calibration standards and an operating manual.

HP/AC Alliance Program Offers Comprehensive Solutions to Petroleum Analytical Challenges

Analytical Controls of Rotterdam, the Netherlands, and Bensalem, Pa., and HP formed the HP/AC Alliance Program in 1994. The alliance provides analysts with comprehensive natural-gas analysis, refinery-gas analysis and simulated-distillation solutions to petroleum analytical challenges.

System Availability

The analyzers are expected to be available for order in June 1996.
