International Symposium on Blue Laser and Light Emitting Diodes - First Call for Papers

The Faculty consists of eight departments, i.e.;

  • Industrial Design
  • Architecture
  • Mechanical Engineering (in Japanese)
  • Information and Computer Sciences
  • Electrical and Electronics Engineering
  • Applied Chemistry
  • Materials Science
  • Image Science
  • Inter Department
  • It also has an interdepartmental division to teach undergraduates basic sciences. The Departments of Industrial Design and Image Science are unique among the national universities in Japan.

    In addition to four-year full time courses (Course A), four-year evening courses (Course B) are offered in all departments except the Departments of Industrial Design, Applied Chemistry, and Materials Science. Students of both Course A and Course B are granted the Bachelor's Degree(Engineering), Special programs are offered for students from foreign countries. Admission into the third year-class is provided for the graduates of junior or technical colleges.

    After graduation, students are encouraged to enter postgraduate courses in the Graduate School of Engineering. The School aims to provide highly competent students in the respective disciplines of the engineering fields. The School grants the Master's Degree(Engineering) to students who have finished the two-year course by taking the required semester credits, completed the dissertation, and passed the final oral examinations. Post master -- three-year doctoral programs are provided in the Graduate School of Science and Technology organized jointly with the other faculties of the University.

    Faculty of Engineering publishes a report of research two times a year.
