This "live" picture of Prince Edward Island's Brookvale Provincial Ski Park is updated every 40 minutes by a digital camera sitting at the base of the main slope. The Ski Park is located just west of Charlottetown in Brookvale and is open for Alpine and Nordic skiing daily during the winter months. For and up-to-date ski conditions report, look here.

Brookvale Provincial Ski Park is located on Route 13 between Charlottetown and Crapaud, Prince Edward Island. The Park has 9 alpine runs and 30 km of nordic (cross-country) skiing trails available. Technical Details

This picture was taken by the IslandCam, an Apple Quicktake 150 digital camera that takes a new picture every 40 minutes and uploads it to the Internet. This process is managed by an Apple LC475 computer running AppleScript under System 7.5 and using the Photoflash, clip-to-gif, and Terminal software packages.
