All these make Slovakia a worthwhile destination on a sojourn through Central Europe. Historically overshadowed by the Czech lands in general, and the Golden City of Prague in particular, Slovakia nonetheless maintains a distinct and fascinating culture to investigate. At first perhaps hard to figure out, but after some digging maybe a little more interesting too.
