Sample Pages [Tree of Life Home Page] [Previous] [Next]

A sampling of pages

Here are some example pages in the Tree. (This list is intended to show some of the diversity of pages. It is not meant to be exhaustive; there are other nice pages in the Tree, which are not listed here. )
David Maddison's Bembidion litorale group page (a beetle group).
This section of the Tree includes the most complete species-level treatment, and includes many illustrations, identification keys, etc.
Wayne Maddison's jumping spiders page .
This is the most complete treatment of a large family in the Tree. Includes links to faunal works on the jumping spiders of America North of Mexico and Ecuador. Extensively revised 28 December 1995.
David Maddison's beetles page.
A relatively complete single page on the Tree.
Michel Laurin's terrestrial vertebrates page.
Another relatively complete single page on the Tree.
David Cannatella, Lori Bockstanz, et al.'s frog pages.
Lots of nice pictures and information about frogs.
Tim Berra's salamanderfish page.
A "leaf" page of the Tree, about a very interesting fish from Australia.
Peter Beerli's Western Palearctic water frogs.
These pages include the mating calls of the frogs.
Crandall's crayfish pages.
This was the first branch of the Tree housed on a remote computer (that is, one separate from the home site).
