Westcoast Interchange - Toolsmith
Information and advice on the latest Internet tools.
World Wide Web Browsers
- NCSA Mosaic
- NCSA Mosaic is the original killer Internet application. This
was the first. It has slipped badly against the newcomer Netscape
but it may have a comeback later this summer when it's successor
Enhanced Mosaic is shipped with Microsoft Windows 95. Check
out the Spyglass site for more
information on Enhanced Mosaic.
- Netscape
- Netscape Navigator latest beta versions have been given out for
evaluation purposes. It seems like everyone is using Netscape Navigator.
World Wide Web Browser Add-Ons
- Adobe Acrobat
- If you don't like the way your document presentation is restricted
using Mosaic or Netscape you might try Adobe's Acrobat. If a document
is stored in the Portable Document Format and then displayed using
Acrobat it will look just like the paper version.
- Eudora
- Eudora Light is a very widely used freeware email package.
If you like the freeware package they hope you upgrade to their
bought package.
