A Toast to the Irish

There are many good and greenly ways to celebrate Saint Patrick's Day, but one time-honored tradition is to raise a pint or two to the land of the shamrock and the leprechaun.

As our own homage to this celebratory rite, we recently dispatched a select squad -- GNN's Self-Designated Saint Paddy's Day Bash Beer Brewing Team -- to a San Francisco establishment called Brew City, where patrons brew their own beers and return to bottle their creations two weeks later. GNN's Cyber Columnist Don George was a member of the team, and he reports on the sudsy safari in "Brew It Yourself: A Micro Adventure." If all ferments as promised, we'll be raising our spirits at the end of this week.

As a complement to this celebration, we've surfed the Net to gather an eclectic collection of Saint Paddy's-related sites -- everything from Irish folk lyrics and dart websites to St. Patrick's Day postcards and hangover cures. Check it out at "Luck o' the Links."

Here's hoping there's a four-leaf clover in your future. And join us in a virtual toast on March 17!
