Raging Bull

During a scene where the boxer is in his home, you hear an ambulance siren from his window. The siren is a modern siren rather than the slow low to loud sound then back from loud to low type when the movie was dated.

Raiders of the Lost Ark

Rambo III

Rambo plays a game where you have to pick up a dead sheep and throw it into a circle. He reaches down from his horse to pick up a huge, black, fake and dry sheep with his right arm. The next scene shows him with a small, wet, real dead sheep but now it's in his left hand.

Rambo has a cut on his left cheek bone that is forever getting smaller, bigger, scabby and in some scenes it's gone. Sometimes it's white, sometimes red. This all happens in one day.

Inside the Russian fort, Rambo throws a hand grenade at a wooden door. If you look closely, the door explodes from the other side, NOT the grenade side.

A soldier in Pakistan runs and grabs his arm which has blood on it from a bomb that goes off a split second later. Bad timing.

Ransom

In an early scene where Mel Gibson is talking to his son, a boom mike can be seen at the top of the screen.

Toward the end of the movie there are TV scenes of people on the street being interviewed. In the background all the cars are covered with heavy snow. When the scene switches back (not being shown on TV) there is no snow anywhere.

In the middle of the movie when Mel Gibson is in the interview room in the jail with the guy who he paid off to stop the machinist strike, the guy jumps at Mel and punches him. Mel gets up and he has a bloody mouth. A few seconds later after the guy is led out of the room Mel no longer has blood on his mouth.

Renee Russo's hair goes from currly to straight towards the end of the movie.

Raw Deal

Arnold is hanging a bad guy over a cliff by his heels. In the video version, you can clearly see the guy is hanging from a cable on a boom or crane.

The Real McCoy

Kim Basinger walks into the bank to check it out, and comes back out wearing a hat (issued by the bank, I guess). It wasn't there before.

Rear Window

Jimmy Stewart has a broken leg in the movie. However, the cast shifts from one leg to another.

Red Rocks West

In the second last scene of the film Nicholas Cage jumps onto a very long train pulled by southern Pacific Railway locomotives. In the last scene a pan shows a train rolling into the distance some hours later (the sun has come up) and the train is now very short and pulled by a Montana Rail-link locomotive. Either the train has seriously changed since we last saw our hero, or the director just took a pan of any old train in a setting he liked.

The Rescue

There is a scene where the kids are being chased in a speedboat, while mortars are being launched at them from behind. One shot is of the young boy looking at an incoming mortar over his right shoulder, yelling "Look Out!", and then seeing the mortar hit on the left side of the boat.

Reservoir Dogs

Mr. Blonde, in a gory display, removes an ear from a police officer. He then drops it onto the ground, and goes to get gasoline. In the next scene, the ear on the floor is missing.

There is a scene where the cops are chasing the "gang." It shows the guys running past some stores and then it cuts to the cops running past a hardware store (I think). But in the next scene, the guys run past the same store. Aren't the cops supposed to be chasing them, or are they just doing laps?

In the scene where Mr. Blonde is pouring gasoline over the cop, the cop's legs are flying around trying to kick him. Later, we see that the cop's legs are still taped to the chair.

Mr. Pink runs from the cops in one of the movie's first few scenes. He runs out into an intersection and gets hit by a car. He gets up, smashes the window and pulls the woman out, while firing at the cops a few yards away. Watch Mr. Pink's bag, which he's dumped on the ground beside the car. It disappears and reappears a couple of times.

When Mr. White, and Mr. Pink are together in the bathroom Mr. White tries to light his cigarette, doesn't get it lit, but he still pretends to smoke it anyway.

Return of the Living Dead

One zombie, who's rotted away all his organs, has two eyeballs looking good as new. Even if eyeballs didn't rot, they would fall out with nothing to hold them in.

Richie Rich

In the scene where Macaulay Caulkin has all his friend over and they are riding the rollercoaster there is a section of it missing.

Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves

When the outlaws' hideout in Sherwood Forest is attacked 'by surprise' there are a large number of heavy catapults, which attack the hideout. Given the density of the forest and the size of the catapults, it probably would have taken over a week to get them in position.

In the end, at the hanging when the sheriff finds out that Will is in league with Robin, he says that he found the "turncoat", a phrase that originated in the Revolutionary War - clearly after that time-period.

When Robin reaches the cliffs of Dover after escaping from prison, he jumps out of the boat and starts kissing the ground. He then reaches out with his left hand for help up, but when the camera switches, he's being lifted by his right.

12th Century man Morgan Freeman uses gunpowder 171 years before Marco Polo brought any back from China.

Freeman uses a telescope, which wasn't invented until 1608.

While Morgan Freeman is off praying, Robin fights the men attempting to capture the young poacher. As Robin defeats the men, careful viewers will notice Freeman climb down the rock wall, climb back up, and once more, climb down to join Robin.

Robocop

When the official is blown out of the window of City Hall, he falls out of screen. During the replay of the scene for the news immediately afterwards, the stunt man's feet are seen popping up into view as he bounces on the padding and rolls to take the impact.

When Murphy and Lewis are chasing the villains in the beginning, one of the bad guys shoots the windshield of the cop car, leaving a hole and messing up the glass. Not even a second later, the windshield is fine.

When ED-209 is being demonstrated for the first time and goes out of control, when the young executive is being shot, repeatedly, by ED-209, you can see packets of red paint strapped to his back, under his suit.

When you see Robocop's computer system start up, it loads command.com before it loads the BIOS. If Robocop is controlled by and ordinary PC in any way (he must be in some way since he loads command.com), the BIOS must be loaded before command.com.

When Robocop playbacks his recording of Clarence Boddicker spilling his guts about Dick Jones, the words he says are different than the ones that were recorded.

When he plays back Dick Jones saying he killed Bob Morton, the tone of his voice is changed, and he's looking straight forward. While he recorded it, Jones' tone of voice was calmer, and he was looking to his left at Robocop.

When Robocop is at OCP trying to save "the old man," Jones is wearing a black suit while he is holding him hostage. After he releases him (as Robocop shoots him) the suit is grey, then turns black again as he crashes through the window and falls to his death.

After the cops have gone on strike, and we see the bad guy entourage meet downtown, Clarence gets a call as to the location of Robocop. He slams the door to his 6000 SUX and you can see the review mirror fall right off.

Robocop 2

An arcade game is knocked over, then seconds later it is standing again.

The Rock

Rocketeer

There is one scene where a flying machine makes a crash landing, and as it skids along the ground on its landing "roll," you can see the cable on the ground which is attached to a vehicle (unseen) pulling the machine along.

Rocketman

How come Harland Williams' commander never grew any beard after eight months of hypersleep?

How did they survive after Harland wastes all of their food?

in the last scene where Harland dances with his love interest, how come her gown still looks stiff at zero gravity?

Rocky

In Rocky, Micky mentions to Rocky that he is 76 years old. When Micky dies in Rocky 3, his tombstone says 76 years. Rocky 3 takes place at least 3 years after Rocky.

Rocky IV

When Apollo is getting ready to fight the Russian boxer, he comes out with white boxing gloves on. Sometime during the announcement of the fighters, the camera shows Rocky and Apollo standing in Apollo's corner. Apollo is jumping up and down while pointing with an ungloved and untaped hand, He is saying "I want you". The next time they show Apollo, he has his gloves on again.

After he tells Adrian he is going to fight the Russian, he has a flash back of when Mr T. beat him and he was falling to the mat. He was wearing Apollo's red, white, and blue shorts, and he didn't get them until the second fight.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show

Roman Holiday

When Audrey eats her gelato on the steps of the Spanish Plaza, if you look closely, the time is about 12:00 when she buys the cone. However, when she starts eating it, you can see that it's past 3:00.

Romeo + Juliet

Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion

During the scene when Michelle is dreaming that she is at the reunion, she is hit by a limo. She rolls over the limo and ends up knocking the wing off of the trunk. A couple of scenes later when the two cars are driving off, the wing is back on.

Rookie of the Year

At the end of the decisive game, the bad guy hits a deep foul ball. During that hit, they show the ball against a black background. If you look very closely at the bottom of the screen, you can see a hand throwing the ball.

When Henry gets home his mom tells him to do the laundry. He goes downstairs opens up the washer and steps back. He then says bases loaded etc. the last thing he says is that there is a full count. But when the little piece of soap goes into the washing machine, he says "strike one".

At the end, in the big game, they show Henry striking out people as usual after replacing Chet Steadman. During the time when they show one strike after another, for a few seconds, you can clearly see that Chet Steadman is back on the mound.

In the big game the Cubs' manager says to Chet, "You gave me six great innings." But somehow, Henry pitches four innings when there are no extra innings in the game. How unusual.

When the Cubs are in L.A. playing the Dodgers, Henry walks when he goes up to bat and when he gets to first base, the pitcher attempts to pick him off. Henry slides back headfirst safely. He gets some dirt on his uniform. They cut to the pitcher and then cut back to Henry, who now has less dirt on his uniform than he did before.

In the big game, Henry and his mom have a little conversation with Henry on the mound and his mom in the stands. How do they understand each other??? Are they good at reading lips? Can they use mental telepathy?

Henry plays his first pro game on August 11th. But he goes back to school the next day which would be August 12th. Does Chicago REALLY make its kids go back to school THAT early???

Rumble in the Bronx

The kid in the wheelchair is playing a gamegear with no game in it.

In one scene, after a massive car chase, the end result is a city bus twirling round and round. Look under the bus and you can clearly see the mechanism supporting it.

During a chase scene with the hovercraft near the waterfront in NYC you can see mountains in the distance. Not in NYC.
